The Malindi Orphans Academy is an institution designed to provide learning spaces and learning environments for teaching of the pupils under the direction of teachers.Its started in 2008 as a center orphans as a result of Malindi Islamic Center for Orphans coming together helping the less fortunate in Malindi and its nearby areas. At present there are 277 pupils; both boys and girls. An integration system is the one being followed in this institution. Both Islamic and Kenya system of education are carried at this school.
Malindi Orphans Academy consist 29 qualified and competent teachers on both Circular & Madrasa side headed by an able Headteacher.Its also consists of Seven non teaching staff members :- Office Clerk, Gate man, Office messenger, 2 cooks,2 Cleaners.
The School is an integrated health and educated model serving children from Kindergarten to Class 8.
This is not enough to accommodate the school pupils.
The ground is lacking playing equipment for the nursery
There are 323 desks enough for all classes the sitting
Arrangement is now at the ratio of 1:2
we do not have playing equipment especially kindergartens
The playground is small for the pupil.
Computers are to be bought for the mid upper classes
More computer teachers are to be employed.
